It is better been prepared for an opportunity and not have one than to have an opportunity and not to be prepared for it.
One Sunday Morning a few years I go I decided I was going to go round the churches near my house to find out if I could speak to their young people about my journey. I went round seven churches and they all said no but this did not stop me from going to other churches. I got to my ninth church right at the end of their service, I spoke to the man who was preaching and he loved my enthusiasm and he told me straight away that he would love to invite me to come and speak to the young people. A few days later I was speaking in front of the whole congregation. After my speech, I realised that I spent a lot of my time looking for opportunities but I was not really prepared for the opportunities I was looking for so much so my speech that night was not very motivating. I was however lucky that the man I spoke to was amazed by the courage I had to go in a place where no one knew me so he gave me a second chance which I did not waste.
This is the story of so many people, they search for an opportunity that will change their life but they never really prepare themselves for these opportunities. I felt a bit foolish that night because a lot of people came out to be motivated but I was not able to do that because I was unprepared for the opportunity that had been granted to me, Before you ask where you the opportunity is going to come from you have to ask yourself if you are actually prepared for an opportunity. You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free, the truth is that there is always going to be opportunities to do what you love doing you just have to be prepared for the opportunity.
